You are never too old!!

Today, I met a gentleman at Port Browning Marina who was out on his FIRST boat purchase at age 72. He joined Saltspring Yacht Club because he realised early on, that to have the confidence to "leave the dock" it was better to do it with friends. This is such a true validation to the question "why join a yacht club". Sitting across from him on the dock, his questions were endless; navigation, tides, docking, but he was surrounded by newly found club member friends, who shared their knowledge and built his confidence. Priceless!! This is why we join a Club!
